China

Check your glassware and china before you entertain guests. Wash them if they have not been used for a while. If you are using the dishwasher, check to see if the item is labeled, you can try washing one piece with your regular loads to see if there are any ill effects. Antique china and glassware should be washed by hand.

When a metal utensil or object scrapes across china, it leaves a gray mark. This can be removed with a mild abrasive cleaner such as Bon Ami.
